The Frampton Community Association

The Association is a registered charity with the aim of benefiting the people of the village.

It has three main tasks.

1. It owns and manages the the Recreation Ground with the help of a volunteer committee and the Parish Council.

2. It leases the Community Centre from the County Council and manages the centre on behalf of the village.

3. It is an umbrella organisation for all the clubs and societies in the village.

The Community Association is run by the Management Committee of representatives of all the village organisations which affiliate. If your club affiliates it can use the meeting rooms at the centre free, and the large hall ( Cadbury’s Hall ) for a reduced charge. Phone Derek Barnes 740333 for costs and bookings. We have a minibus for affiliated groups. Phone Milner or John Howe, 740805 for costs and bookings.

The two bars at the Centre are run by a separate organisation, the Sports and Social Club. To use the bars you should join the Social Club. Contact the Steward, Liz Taylor, or any of the bar staff for details. Snooker, Pool, Darts, League Skittles and large screen TV are all available as well as drinks and snacks.

The Social Club runs entertainment from time to time and Cadbury’s Hall is used by the Brownies, Football Bingo, Perryway Players and their junior group Livewire, Table Tennis, and the annual Village Quiz.

As an umbrella organisation, we may be able to help your group with advice on, for example, legal matters, funding, insurance and contact with other local groups.

The Community Association is responsible for the Community Newsletter, appearing every two months to keep people informed of what is happening in the village. Send your items to the editor, Jane Coles 740962, or e mail to newsletter@framptononsevern.com. If you are interested in the production side - help usually welcome - contact Jane Toseland 742372

For more information or to offer help and ideas about anything to do with the Community Association contact Daphne Gardner, chairman, 741263 or John Howe, vice-chairman, 740805.
