FRAMPTON CELEBRATES THE QUEEN'S JUBILEE
The Jubilee Committee is working on plans so that the People of Frampton can celebrate both the Queen's Jubilee and the life of the Village. There is still a lot of work to do so here are some of the ideas.
An enjoyable and fun time for everyone on Monday, 4 June from 12 noon. This is the day before the Official Jubilee Bank Holiday to give everyone the chance to celebrate the day itself in their own way – or watch events on television.
We are trying to keep cost on the day to a minimum to make it affordable for everyone.
So KEEP THE AFTERNOON FREE TO JOIN IN.
We are hoping to organise:
Ø An opening Ceremony
Ø Live Music all afternoon
Ø A Young People's Disco
Ø It's a Knock-out [see the entry form elsewhere in the parish magazine]
Ø A Boules Competition[see the entry form elsewhere in the parish magazine]
Ø Sideshows – roundabouts, face painting, Bouncy Castle, Punch & Judy
Ø Morris Dancing
Ø May Pole
Ø Poster Competition
Ø Pageant & Crown Competition
Ø Children's BYO “Street” Tea Party
Ø A small souvenir for Children
Ø Ploughman’s Lunches at The Chapel
Ø Cream Teas at the Village Hall
Ø Barbecue
Ø Refreshment Tent
Ø Bunting & Flags
To be held at the South end of the Green [by kind permission of Rollo Clifford]
The Committee is made up of members of many of Frampton's clubs and organisations.
There will be more news as plans firm up, so watch out for posters, the April/May Community Magazine and we hope to publish information on the Village Web Site – www.framptononsevern.com
