Frampton on Severn Table Tennis Club
The club was formed in the summer of 1984 with twelve founder members, who had previously played at the old RHP ( Hoffman ) club, until the company closed ranks against “ outsiders” after 26 years continuous hospitality by the company.
The new club played in Frampton Village Hall for 13 years, before moving to the Community Centre in September 1998. There has been a number of changes in the club membership over the years, but still has two of the original twelve players from 1984.
The current members range in age from 11 to 80, with the oldest and youngest both living in Frampton.
Three club teams play in the Stroud and District Table Tennis League, which itself has 36 teams in 3 divisions from 12 clubs, with hopefully more teams next year. Frampton league matches are played at home on most Thursday evenings starting at 7.30pm from September until Mid March.
Anyone interested is cordially invited to watch a league match(or part of). If any players are interested in playing league table tennis, or youngsters wanting to learn the game, come to watch a match or contact the Chairman Vic Nixon on 01452 740595 for more details.
Out of season we practice on a Thursday night.
